The Grapes of Wrath

The Grapes of Wrath is one of my favourite books, I have taken it upon myself to illustrate the intro paragraph to each odd numbered chapter. The odd numbered chapters deal with the situation at the time the book is set. The even chapters deal with the narrative of the Joad family. I thought it would be nice to concentrate on the odd numbers as they are sort of descriptive landscapes with commentary. But there are also parallels to be drawn between dustbowl era America and contemporary events. I will post each chapter illustration here as I do them over the coming months.
